We have a 16 month old little girl named Ava and another little girl due in early May. I am a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and work aboard Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. I began working dogs after returning from Iraq and seeing working dogs in action there. Dave Deleissegues took me under his wing for over three years and tirelessly worked with me on trial and training helper work and technique; he is a great mentor and friend with whom I continue to consult on a regular basis. Terry Macias, Martin and Thomas Vollrath, and Mario Fernandez have also helped me tremendously in the development of my helper work. Thank you to all the handlers that trusted me to work their dogs. I have worked numerous club trials as well as the 2007 NW Regional Championships (SchH I & II), the 2008 NW Regional Championships (SchH III Front Half), and the 2009 SW Regional Championships (SchH III Back Half). I currently work a 3 year old Male Doberman named Usa v. Eschenbruch. I have titled him to SchH II and plan to go for our III before the fall. We train with a great group in Escondido at the So Cal Working Dog Association. I sincerely appreciate the American Working Dog Federation for asking me to be a part of this event.
